Provenance: Per Craig LeHoullier: "This variety originated with a cross between Black from Tula and Budai made by Patrina Nuske Small and named Grumpy. Bundaberg Rumball was selected and named by Richard Allen. Among those who contributed to stabilizing this new Dwarf variety are Patrina, Howard Kushner, Carol Knapp, Ted Maiden, Christy Shedd, Amanda Fischer and Craig LeHoullier. The starting seed sample was grown out and supplied by Bill Minkey."
